Maria Gibalova, Head of BONARD Business Solutions & Events, travelled to Canada to introduce future markets to focus on when considering the acquisition or diversification of international students in the education sector. Among others she shared some best practices resulting from a detailed data-driven approach.

Questions such as what are the best ways how to implement an internationalisation plan, what are the major challenges and what tools shall be applied in order to succeed were answered by Maria’s presentation. Looking at it as a step-by-step guide, it covered topics such as various recruitment channels and marketing methods. Maria did not forget to mention some real-life situations and challenges from the field.

Considering the importance and key role of market analysis in the entire process, charts with market shares per study destination and figures, e.g. total number of international students in K-12 sectors for the major 5 English-speaking, were included into the presentation. The data about source countries spoke clearly for themselves, where to go if education providers need to recruit students. Moreover, the audience at the conference appreciated a deeper insight into CAPS-I’s strategic future missions.
