Maria Cervenanova, Senior Research Manager at BONARD, and David Di Maria, Associate Vice Provost for International Education, University of Maryland, Baltimore County, have held a joint presentation outlining the preliminary findings from an institutional survey. The aim was to better understand how the institutions react to market changes taking into consideration both the external and internal factors they face.
While USA remains the leading destination for higher education students, there are destinations growing at a much faster pace. Maria introduced several outcomes from the survey, e.g. strong dependency of the higher education market globally on two source countries. She also spoke about international student recruitment process, what do certain countries have in common and if this topic had already been recognized by state authorities as an important factor in country development.
