GLOBAL ELT ANNUAL REPORT 2024

About the report

In light of regulatory changes in major English Language Teaching (ELT) destinations, visa processing challenges, and shifts in student demand for ELT abroad, a range of new implications has arisen for language education providers.

BONARD’s international education experts have compiled the most comprehensive overview of the sector’s performance in 2023, and have analysed preliminary data from 2024 to forecast where the sector is heading.

"In 2023, the global ELT sector achieved a 78% recovery in student numbers and 85% in student weeks. However, this recovery is not uniform across all destinations and source countries — while some have returned to pre-pandemic student volumes, others are still struggling to regain their footing. Join us as we unpack the key developments and implications for the ELT sector."
