International Student Accommodation virtual event, organized by International Education Association of Australia (IEAA), various experts met and shared their international and domestic views in the student housing and international education sector.

Patrik Pavlacic, BONARD’s Head of Research, highlighted the importance of the need for further development in the student housing sector, as, despite the strong pipeline coming to the Australian market until 2022, a significant gap in provision is set to remain.

According to Adele Prudames (UniLodge Australia), the engagement between residents and student housing providers is much higher than in other real estate sectors.

Rebecca Bendall shared that the goal for Student Accommodation Association (SAA) was to deliver to the market NPAS (National Property Accreditation Scheme) as a best practice standard for all operators and those that are interested in investing in the student housing sector.
